Essence Effect Eye Pencils Long-Lasting (Shades 1-6)

You may know by now I absolutely love bright coloured products that can just give you that extra oomph when it comes to make-up. Although for some it may not be wearable makeup I do find that for Clubbing, Halloween, and Festivals bright eyeliners look awesome!!
I'm sorry this looks so bad!!! On the links there are better photos! Sorry!!

And here I have all 6 Shades from Essence to review and swatch for you! These retail for £2 each so very cheap. As you can see the packaging is very reflective and so was a pain to photograph! But I do like how reflective and neon the packaging is as it makes it even more appropriate for festivals and party goers!!

Please excuse how terrible the pencils look. It's just that I got too excited and started using them before I realised that I hadn't taken a picture of it yet! :(

Aptly named the Silver Surfer this shade is a very bold silver colour and can really draw the attention to your eyes and brings out the colour of your eyes. Now for all of you wanting to try something new I would definitely suggest trying this shade; and although it may not seem wearable, it truly is! My sister rocks silver eyeliner all the time and she really pulls it off. So I’m going to be passing this one on to her.

Now this Gold was so disappointing for me! I wanted to be one of those Golden Goddesses and unfortunately I think colour pay-off wasn’t exactly the best. Now I don’t know if this is just the way it looks on me but I find that it doesn’t suit me as much as I’d want it to. It blends in better into my skin and doesn’t stand out. This is probably due to the fact that my skin tone is a warm olive.

I would recommend this shade to darker skin tones and if you have cooler undertones to your skin as I feel it will stand out more.

This blue is my second favourite shade out of the whole collection as it is such a brilliant electric blue, it really does follow suit to its name. Honestly it is fantastic. It applies evenly throughout the entire eye and it brings out brown eyes beautifully.
I don’t know how this will look on blue eyes but I imagine it depends on the shade of blue your eyes are.. I really think this will go perfectly for all skin types and am honestly in love with it.

Is definitely a strong bold green that definitely catches your eyes! I absolutely love this shade too. The application was really simple and the colour pay-off was just instant. I think this would look great on all skin tones! From the picture you can see that I should have gone over it a little more so that the middle of my eyelid had full colour but…..I was too excited, sorry!

Now for my Favourite shade. This was a very misleading shade as I had initially thought from the packaging just like the others that this was going to be a bright pink however I was pleasantly surprised as  it was a much more flattering shade. A PURPLE!! This is fantastic news for me as I was worried I was going to look like I had an irritated eye.
This appears a lot darker in person than it does on camera but I like both regardless. I think it is one of the most wearable shades in the collection and would loo amazing with a dark smoky eye or on its own too!
(!!This shade contains CARMINE!!)

This shade is definitely the most wearable shade in the whole collection as it is a black. However it isn’t a true black. More like a very very very dark grey which is always good to have. I feel that this would be best used for that smudged eye makeup look. As you can see it applies fantastically well, and will suit absolutely everyone.

Overall thoughts are that my absolute favourites are definitely METAL-PHANTOM and STEEL-SMURF. As they are probably the most fun and best pigmented out of the lot. Of course the textures of these eyeliner are very creamy and of course therefore have the tendency to move around. Also it can imprint an incredibly light amount of product onto the top of your eyelids but of course that depends on your eyeshade as those with mono-lids don’t have to worry about this.

Regardless I do recommend this for everyone as these will be an awesome addition to any makeup! Plus if you are going to try branching into coloured eyeliner these are inexpensive so you won’t be wasting your money.
So let me know what you think? Which will you try and what's your favourite?

Sunset Nails

Inspiration from here
With these gorgeous summer days why not try and paint these hot Sunset Nails. Its really easy to do and will suit short or long nails.!. (I've done them on mine and my sisters nails.!)

L.A. Colors Art Deco - Red & Black, Rimmel - 440 Orange Bliss, & BarryM - 307 Lemon Ice Cream

1. Your going to need to paint your entire nail orange.!.

2. Once its completely dry, with your Yellow nail polish paint on streaks (like there would be in the sky) these would look almost like clouds/highlights.

3. Do the same but with a red nail polish. BUT keep it to lower down the nail so that there is a sorta a gradual tone. (and surrounding the bottom of the yellow.)

4. With a nail polish with a thin brush draw on the shape. (Now if you look in the picture below you'll see on my little finger the main shape you will need for the tree.! Just try to copy this and then after ad more branches in random directions.!.

5. To add the bird just add a dot, then from that dot make a "V" shape and from the end the "V" add a downward flick.

5. And Viola.! your done.!.! Remember to clean up these edges and let me know how you guys get on with these?

P.S. Even without the design i think the background looks pretty cool on its own too.!.

Boat Shoe Haul (Risky)

Recently I popped into Risky in Vicarage Field shopping centre, and managed to snag myself these super cheap shoes!!

These only cost £4 each.!.!.! That's absolute madness considering these are a really cute Boat Shoe Style with tassels.

These Red ones are soo cute and I think they would look best with a pair of jeans and white t-shirt. (Simple Casual, but with a hint of colour)

And these Black ones could be used for work, (if you don't normally wear heels) or for a casual day out too.

P.S. They are really light. Seriously they don't weigh a thing but of course ; like any shoe your gonna have to break into them!

H&M Sale Haul

You guys may know that I love a sale or a bargain so last I went shopping I popped into H&M to check out their sale and I managed to get 3 new tops all under £12.!!.

Back View

This was £7.99 but on sale for £4.!.!
It's sooo cute and out of the 3 is one of my favourite thanks to the Zip on the back of the top.which gives it an edgy feel.
For me personally Vest style tops suit me best because I have quite broad shoulders (for a girl) and I find they show them off but in a nice way.!. This also comes in White and Pale-Yellow.!.

Detail of Transparent Pattern

This was £7.99 but on sale for £3.!.!. ...but if you were to get it online it costs £5 which is still cheap anyway.
This short-sleeved top has a wide neckline and as its on sale you should know the sizes run big as this is a small and you best believe I'm not a small.!.! Anyway.. the transparent pattern is sooo cool and unique you guys should definitely get one.!.

Detail of Transparent Pattern & Tie-Waist

This wasn't on sale but it only cost £4.99.!.!. That's an amazing price considering the print, the length and the fact that it's got a tie-waist.
This top is more like a dress (I'd wear with leggings, jeans or shorts) or I think this would look cute over a swimsuit (like if you go to the beach as a cover up.!.)

.!.Hope you guys enjoy the summer sales.!.

P.S. Now all these tops require at least a bandeau top underneath or if your confident you can just use a bra. Preferably one of the same colour as the top.

Aztec Pattern Inspired Nails

While studying for exams may be taking all of my free time, I still try to find leave some for myself. And while thinking of what to do I found myself being inspired from the top I was wearing, and created these Aztec Nails.!.

These did take a lot of concentration and time to get the shapes I wanted and to be honest I almost gave up before the black outline, because it looked really weird without it...

Primark mens top for £2.50
My inspiration came from this top that I bought ages ago. I just fell in love with all the shapes and colours. I decided to only do the odd shapes on my nails for a minimalist look to it! Unfortunately I didn't have that exact blue or a yellow and so instead I went for an Orange and a Lighter Blue.

17 - Bolt from the Blue, Maybelline - 554 Lavender Lies, L.A. Colors - Orange & Black,
Colour Couture
- Top Coat + A toothpick.
So try to paint these nails too! Just have fun with it. Try loads of different shapes and colours!

P.S. Feel free to let me know the designs you did! I would love to see others try these nails too!

Black Sandals (Risky)

Not only did I buy the outfit I got in my last post, but I also managed to grab these amazing Black Flatform Sandals (Down to Earth) from Risky at Vicarage Field Shopping Centre in Barking.

Will you be getting these?
Now being a tall gurl (5"7) I struggle to find an excuse to wear heels everyday and to not look abnormal when I do. Don't get me wrong I still wear them and own many but Flatforms are one of the most comfortable ways of being a an inch or so taller without the after pain of heels!
These sandals are unbelievably comfortable considering they were only £9!! When I saw how cheap these were, I just could not leave without them. Especially as I've seen similar styles retailing from £20 to even £180.

So gals! Go out and get yourself a pair of these snazzy sandals!!!

P.S. There are some in other colours too!!! Faded out Pink and Silver!!
