Day Trip to Bournemouth.!.!.!

I just had to write my Blog name initials!

What better way to make the most of a Bank Holiday Monday than to go to the beach?!

Okay most people in London went to Notting Hill Carnival but I've been there done that and quite frankly just wanted to chill. So of course I decided to go chill on the Sandy Beaches of Bournemouth.!.

Yes.! I made the most of the Summer Fever offer!! Nails: Revlon - Cloudy
We got the train there and OMG it's two hours away.!. Luckily we were equipped with snacks and hot chocolate & coffee.!.!.

Sorry! (for the people whose faces are seen!)
Thankfully it was a glorious sunny day and I got to bask on the sun and too up my tan.!.!. (Bless my mum she got seriously burnt and when we got home we had to use Aloe Vera Gel)
Can't believe this is England!
My goodness the distance from the station to the beach is just....forever.!.!. And the Hills.! I can't imagine walking up and down everyday.!.....though I would end up having amazing legs...anyway.
Just had to take a selfie! and OMG the water was freeezing!!! Nails: Revlon - Royal

Also the SAND.!.!.! It's a sandy beach.!.!. After having been to Barbados a couple of years back all of the beaches I had seen had been to after that had just fallen sooo short of my expectations but Bournemouth had SAND.!.!.!.

Unfortunately I couldn't make a sandcastle but instead I attempted to make a Octopus out of the sand.!.! I think I did okay...you can be the judge of it.!.!.
So have you guys been to Bournemouth??

Clacton-On-Sea (Mini Holiday)

Yes....I am one of those gals who go on holiday and take cheesy selfies.!.!.!

Okay I have been an awful blogger.!.! I've not posted anything recently, mainly because I was off on a little holiday with ma bestie from Summers Beauty on a Budget.!.!.

We stayed at a beach home (literally the sandy beach & sea was the back garden.!.!.!!.) down at Point Clear. I must say the peace and quite I experienced was almost scary... But very welcoming. I'm a city girl through and through, I'll always be used to hearing police sirens, cars and annoying neighbours.... So just having to hear the waves of the sea was refreshing.!.

Sunset!!
This was literally the view from the living room (the back garden ;) doesn't it look phenomenal? The house was amazing. I totally want a beach house.!.!.

Day 1

Traveling day, which I might add is very very boring unless you have food and music.! (Don't worry I was fully prepared)
Summer was already there as she and her family had arrived the day before, so we met at the station and we set of to the Pier to chill and then off to the Beach "Home".!.

Day 2

We mainly had a lazy morning, sitting outside basking in the sun, stocking up on that Vitamin D, and just wandering around locally.
In the afternoon we hired those 4-Seater Bikes and rode around in them.!. My gosh they were so much fun.!.!....though definitely a huge workout.!.
And In the evening went in the fair and rode on as many rides we could and enjoyed killing each other on the Bumper Cars/Dodgems.!.!.

After we went into this really cute restaurant called Charnallies and OMG its just like a typical American Diner. I loved it.!.!. I was soooo nice and cosy...and cute. The food was sooooooooooo good. Of course I got the New York Style Chicken & Bacon Burger.!.!

Day 3

Much to my sad dismay I had to go pack to get back to London.!.!.and soo the morning was just spent enjoying my last minute sun soaking and silent peaceful atmosphere.

So now that I'm back and have no other engagements I'll try and post regularly again.!.! YAY.!.

Summer/Holiday Essentials: Skincare

Are you planning on going on holiday or have these summery days left you confused on what products to use? Well here are my recommendations.!.!

Neutrogena Visibly Clear Oil Free Moisturiser
This is my favourite face cream for the summer as it leaves my skin feeling cool and fresh! (Hallelujah) I love it. Its Light-weight, It doesn't break me out and I feel like its tones my face!

Boots:  £4.69 (2 for £5)
Superdrug: £3.12 (On Sale)

Malibu 15 SPF Bronzing Tanning Oil-
I'm not the biggest fan (At All!) of products that smell like coconuts as I think it's sometimes it's overpowering BUT Malibu got the formula just right! Not only does it actually smell nice but it leaves my legs (and body) feeling nourished and glowing.
Plus it has UVA & UVB protection.!.!

Superdrug: £5.99

Nivea Kids SPF 50 -
I assume that if its for kids it's perfect for sensitive skin but I only use this if its REALLY hot and sunny as it leaves a blu-ish/white-ish tinge on my skin (medium/tan...in the summer) If you have paler skin this wont affect you.
Plus it's WATER RESISTANT.! So perfect for the beach/pool.!.
AND it's got UVB &  UVB protection.!.!

Boots: £5.24 (On Sale the Baby one)

Holland & Barrett - Aloe Vera Gel
Now if you've been a little naughty and have forgotten to reaply your sun cream throughout the day, and you now find yourself burnt....well Barbadensis Aloe Vera Gel will become your best friend with its healing and cooling properties plus it prevents your skin from peeling!
You could use a after sun cream but when I went to Barbados for a holiday locals sold Aloe Vera Gel for sun burnt holidayers and it pretty much saved our vacation.!

Plus this one is ORGANIC, Suitable for VEGETARIANS & VEGANS.!

200ml - £6.99 (2 for £7)
100ml - £3.99

Other Stories - Equatorial Dreams Body Scrub -
Scrubs for me are an essential item you must have no matter what especially in the summer as you get all sweaty and clammy and since sun creams are sooo heavy your gonna want to get that off. Plus crusty/flakey legs are a big No No..!

Other Stories (Regent Street) - £7

Soap & Glory - Return to Slender, Body Contouring Gel
This unfortunately is no longer available (T.T) and I literally stocked up when I last bought them.
So of course I went on a search to find an alternative for you guys but the ones I found were extremely expensive (Clarins Body Lift Cellulite Control 200ml - £36) BUT thanks to Beauty Angel recommended one she'd tried. (Nivea Q10 Cellulite Cream 75ml - £7.45) very affordable.!

Boots: £7.45 (Nivea Q10)
Debenhams: £36 (Clarins)

I love these gels because they are cooling (really cold) and so this helps tighten/clench  your muscles giving you slender looking legs.! (Of course if you want spectacular legs then obviously we're going to have to do excessive too! ;)

So what are your Skincare essentials?
And have you tried any other body contouring gels?

Sunset Flip-Flops (Primark)

Follow my blog with Bloglovin
Flip-flops are (...in my oppinion...) one of the most commonly overpriced products in a the fashion industry, especially if they have an awesome print.! So why not pop into Primark for cheaper alternatives.!
I love the dual coloured purple & neon pink strap as its perfect for the summer.!.
Since the summer holiday season has officially started, some of us lucky ones may be going on holiday this year and whats better to wear to the beach than comfortable cute flip-flops? But in some stores we find them retailing from £7-8 and above.

Considering I got these for only £2 I've got to say its just ridiculous. Especially most of us would just throw them away after our holiday. (or....at least I do since I need to make space for souvenirs..)
So pop into Primark and chose from the large range of print and coloured flip-flops to take with you on your summer holiday.!

P.S. Personally I also use flip-flops as a replacement for slippers in the summer.... Your feet need to breath too you know.!.! Plus its a perfect excuse for a pedicure.!.
